Rhythms of Hope Goal

Our fundraising goal for this event is $20,000, so buy a ticket to the live event, bid on the silent auction items, or donate while staying at home with our "Sending love from the couch" ticket.  The money from this event will help our programs support those in need as well as expand to touch more lives.

Adaptive Dance 

FREE dance and creative movement for individuals ages 7 to 18 with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Down Syndrome

 

Dance for Parkinson’s & Keep the Beat

The Art Beat Foundation offers Dance for Parkinson’s & Keep the Beat dance for seniors classes for patients, and their family members and caregivers completely free of charge.

 

Cancer Survivorship

FREE dance and fitness classes for cancer patients and survivors to help them find their power and become part of a community.

 

Lloyd Storey Memorial Scholarship

A scholarship awarded to students ages 12-18 for children whose families are unable to afford quality dance education and those that are vulnerable to abuse or delinquency.

 

Jessica Kendrick Memorial Scholarship 

A scholarship for children enrolled in the tap program at ABDC who embodies Ms. Kendrick and The Art Beat Foundation's values of joy, passion, and fostering a sense of community through dance.

 

Tap Dance Preservation Project 

Leon Collins, a tap virtuoso, believed that "Dancing is the poetry of the body as music is the poetry of the soul.”The Art Beat Foundation is working with Dianne Walker, tap master Leon Collins’ protégé, to create a written and video archive of Mr. Collins’ progressive educational routines and form The Leon Collins Institute to teach future generations. The Art Beat Foundation also began The Art Beat Tap Festival in 2019 to help share the great history of tap dance with the community by bringing guest artists from all over the world to teach master classes and present their work in concert with renowned jazz musicians.
